Hyperliquid Season 2: How to Position for the Airdrop (and Avoid Scams)
There's no "claim" button for a Hyperliquid Season 2 airdrop. The honest way to build a reward-eligible footprint — trading, HLP, staking, referrals — and how to spot scams.
There is no button that 'claims' a Hyperliquid Season 2 airdrop. Anyone showing you one is almost certainly trying to drain your wallet. What's real is simpler: Hyperliquid has historically rewarded people who genuinely used the platform. So the smart move isn't to chase a claim link — it's to use Hyperliquid like an engaged trader, keep your activity legitimate, and stay safe. Here's how.
Hyperliquid will never ask for your seed phrase to 'verify' an airdrop. Any site, DM, or ad telling you to connect and 'claim Season 2' is a phishing attempt until proven otherwise. The only place to interact with Hyperliquid is the official app.

What 'Season 2' actually means right now
As of mid-2026, Hyperliquid has not officially announced a program called 'Season 2.' A large share of HYPE supply (~38%) is reserved for future emissions and community rewards, and the 2024 distribution rewarded prior usage — but any specific allocation, snapshot date, or activity multiplier you see online is community speculation, not an official commitment.
Treat exact percentages as rumor until an official Hyperliquid source states them. Plan around using the platform well, not around a number someone posted on social media.
The activities that actually count

Get on-platform the safe way. If you haven't yet, follow our deposit walkthrough to fund a self-custody wallet and move USDC correctly first.
Trade with intent, not wash volume. Genuine perpetual trading with real risk management is the baseline. Reward systems favor sustained, real usage over artificial churn — and over-trading to 'farm' can cost more in fees and liquidations than any reward is worth.
Provide liquidity (HLP) only within your risk tolerance. Depositing to the HLP vault has historically been an engaged-user signal, but it carries real drawdown risk. Never deposit money you can't afford to see fluctuate.
Stake HYPE if it fits your plan. Staking is one of the few ways to earn ongoing rewards and join governance, and stakers have been part of past reward design.
Refer people you'd genuinely recommend it to. Active referrals are a legitimate engagement signal — and your own fee setup matters too. See our fee-reduction guide.
How to check your footprint safely

Check three things in the official app: your trading history shows genuine activity, any HLP or staking positions appear in your account, and your referral dashboard reflects real referred users. If a third-party 'tracker' asks you to sign a message that grants spending permissions, stop — that is not how checking eligibility works.
Common mistakes
Chasing a 'claim' link. The single most expensive mistake — there is no claim page for an unannounced distribution.
Wash trading to inflate volume. It burns fees, invites liquidation, and reward systems are designed to discount it.
Over-depositing into HLP for a rumor. HLP can draw down. Size it as an investment decision, not a lottery ticket.
Signing unknown approvals. A signature that grants token approvals can be drained later. Only sign normal login signatures on the official app.
Is there a Hyperliquid airdrop?
As of mid-2026, Hyperliquid has not officially announced a points program or a confirmed Season 2 airdrop, and there is no legitimate page that asks you to 'claim' one — treat any such link as a scam. The safe approach is to use the platform normally and watch official channels for any announcement. New here? Start with what Hyperliquid is, and if you want regulated exposure instead, see the Hyperliquid ETF (THYP).
Where to go next
If you're new, start with what Hyperliquid is and the deposit walkthrough. If you already trade, read the fee-reduction guide so more of your size works for you. Rewards and eligibility are decided by Hyperliquid and can change; nothing here guarantees any airdrop — focus on using the platform well and staying safe.
