Hyperliquid will never ask for your seed phrase to 'verify' an airdrop. Any site, DM, or ad telling you to connect and 'claim Season 2' is a phishing attempt until proven otherwise. The only place to interact with Hyperliquid is the official app.
What 'Season 2' actually means right now
As of mid-2026, Hyperliquid has not officially announced a program called 'Season 2.' A large share of HYPE supply (~38%) is reserved for future emissions and community rewards, and the 2024 distribution rewarded prior usage — but any specific allocation, snapshot date, or activity multiplier you see online is community speculation, not an official commitment.

The activities that actually count

Common mistakes
Chasing a 'claim' link. The single most expensive mistake — there is no claim page for an unannounced distribution.
Wash trading to inflate volume. It burns fees, invites liquidation, and reward systems are designed to discount it.
Over-depositing into HLP for a rumor. HLP can draw down. Size it as an investment decision, not a lottery ticket.
Signing unknown approvals. A signature that grants token approvals can be drained later. Only sign normal login signatures on the official app.
