USOL exists so Solana's native SOL can sit inside Hyperliquid's spot books and HyperEVM environment without ever touching a leveraged product — Hyper Unit locks SOL over on Solana and mints the matching HyperCore balance that traders actually see and trade. Unlike the SOL perpetual, nothing about USOL involves funding payments or directional leverage; it's a fully backed spot token meant for holding, collateral use, or on-chain composability, and its price should simply mirror SOL's own spot value. That mirroring depends on Hyper Unit's guardian network correctly processing deposits and withdrawals between the two chains, which introduces a bridge-specific failure mode entirely separate from anything that could go wrong with Solana's network itself. Trading depth on USOL is ordinarily much lighter than what the SOL perpetual sees, so wider spreads and closer attention to order size are worth planning for.
